Section 6
Can change the number and boundaries of wards
(1) The Government of Nepal may modify the number and boundaries of the wards as determined in accordance with Section 5 as required.
(2) When changing the number and boundaries of wards according to sub-section (1), the bases mentioned in sub-section (3) of section 5 shall be adopted.
(3) If it is necessary to change the number or boundaries of the wards, the resolution shall be passed by a majority of two-thirds of the existing members of the village assembly or city assembly and sent to the Nepal government through the provincial government.
(4) If a proposal is received in accordance with sub-section (3), the Government of Nepal shall change the number or boundaries of the wards in accordance with such proposal within six months.
(5) If the number and boundaries of wards are changed according to this section, it should be done at least one year before the election of rural municipality and municipality.
(6) Notwithstanding anything else written in this section, within six months of the first election of rural municipality or municipality, if a resolution is passed by the majority of the existing members of the village assembly or city assembly and sent to the Government of Nepal through the provincial government, the Nepal government shall alter the ward boundaries. .
(7) If it is necessary to change the center of a ward, the center of the ward may be changed by passing a resolution by a two-thirds majority of the members present in the village assembly or city assembly in consultation with the ward committee. However, after the commencement of this Act, for the first time, the village assembly or city assembly can change the center of the ward by passing a resolution by the majority of the existing members.
(8) According to sub-section (7) when relocating the center of the ward, the related rural municipality or municipality shall provide the necessary physical infrastructure and other arrangements from its internal income.
(9) If the ward center is changed according to sub-section (7), the concerned rural municipality or municipality shall send the information to the provincial government and Nepal government within thirty-five days.
(10) Notwithstanding anything contained elsewhere in this section, the Government of Nepal to any ward of rural municipality or municipalityIt can be included in another rural municipality or municipality that is connected to the border.
(11) When a ward is included in accordance with sub-section (10), the proposal shall be passed by a two-thirds majority of the members of the assembly of the rural municipality or municipality where such ward is and is to be included, and sent to the Government of Nepal through the provincial government.
